The wife was out hanging with her bf and I decided I was going to get out of Millington for a while. I was hungry and ended up going to Sparky's Real Pit BBQ in Atoka. You might remember there was a little discussion about it in my Post Office BBQ thread, so I just had to check it out while I was in the area.
I got the BBQ plate with bbq beans and tater tots. And a grilled hamburger bun.
You know how when you take that first bite, anticipating that good old BBQ smokiness? Your eyes roll back, your mind gets blown and you can't help but go "mmmmmmmmmmmm!" It's equivalent to a BBQ high.
Well, I didn't get that at Sparky's. I did at Post Office. But like Beechnut said, it's probably boiled or made in an oven, because I didn't taste any smokiness. I was a little disappointed. The beans were ok. They were the big can you'd find at your supermarket...can't remember the brand name. It's a red can, it's not Bush's. Maybe Stokley? Anyway, it was alright. The tater tots were alright. The sweet tea was alright...not all that sweet, it was kinda flat. Well, it was better than nothing.
And there you have it.
