When my boy was brought into this world 6yrs ago I couldn't wait til the day he could start hunting with me. His hard work practicing paid off today. We saw 10-12 right after daylight feeding through the field opposite way. At 8 I catch movement across the field down from us a ways. It musta been fate because normally when they cross where they did they go the other way but today they came towards us. Told him to pick one out and after he shot I see one hit hard heading for the tall grass. I made him wait an hour. Which was hard for both of us. At 9 I walked to where it ran in and it wasn't 15yrds inside the high grass. Ran a total of 40yrds. Perfect double lung. I'm so proud of him. Although it was tough taking one so young it was one of the best days ever.
