Is that the Hiwassee in the background there? I know they are in there...know several folk that have caught them while trout fishing. I've gonna start specifically targeting them there myself. Are you catching them while trout fishing or going after them specifically? What are you using for bait? I've only caught rockfish on live shad from a boat...never bank fished for them.
I was actually going to put in with the boat at the Hwy 11 bridge and then try to catch some shad via throw net....and then run up river to the cooler water and drift the bluffs and such. From your pic if you are on the Hiwassee, it looks like you are above the 411 bridge...I can't get that far up in a boat. But I figure they are all in it at any given place.
