I've got a locally (Tn) made 16 gauge.

I'm working up a good round ball load for target shooting
and an occasional hunt.

Here's the results so far, targets were at 13 & 25 yards with the gun benched.

A fun gun to shoot!
 
Is that one of Tip's? Flintlock? Tell us more. Have you tried patching the ball?
I need to get me a smooth bore.
 
Yes Sir it is!

It my 16 gauge I bought a couple of years ago from him.

44" Colerain open cylinder smoothbore 16 gauge .

I have fired .626 balls patched without very good results ,
the .648 's I think I'm going too like!

Took a couple of squirrels with it back before season ended, with shot of course.
