I like to try new & different things. I have smoked several turkeys and have deep fried even more. What would happen if I smoked a turkey for a couple hours, they deep fried it?
 
I saw a cooking show recently where they deep fried some chicken wings, then added some sauce and finished them on the grill.

I guess it wouldn't hurt to try it. Let us know how it turns out.

Yep. I thought they smoked it outside and brought it inside to deep fry it.

Anyway it will work since I tried it. The idea is to get the smoke favor into the meat and if you fry it first the smoke will only coat the outside.
 
Actually, I see your point. I was just talking about the way they did the wings on the show I was watching. They fried first, then grilled. I think the point of the grilling in this case was to caramelize the sauce onto the wings.
