Right before all my surgery I purchased a S&W M&P AR. Rifle sat for at least a year. Recently it has been jamming badly. Won't go in to battery so I have a live round in the chamber. Can't use charging handle, bolt is locked and won't rotate. Tiny screwdriver blade needed to force the bolt to rotate so it can be extracted.

I emailed S&W. less than 24 hours later I get a response, a RMA, and a free shipping return label. Rifle was packed in original box and shipped free via Fedex this afternoon.

So far, I like things.

Similar experience had here on a 1911 just a few weeks ago. They did say 5 weeks from when the 1911 is received at their shop, so turn around is so-so. Mossberg said 8 weeks on a JM Pro that was malfunctioning. I fixed that on my own though.

From a warranty point of view, Walther / Umarex is amazing. Turn around on my HK 416 22LR was a week door to door.
