Hit my rockfish water early today. The water wasn't perfect but it was fishable and this is the first time it has been semi fishable since the big rains July 4th. I managed two largemouth bass about 2lbs each on a 7" redfin which is unusual and landed one rockfish that weighed 7.5 pounds. I had one that easily topped 25 pounds pull the hook after a lenghty fight and another at least that big that swam towards me and then away and got the line tangled around his head or something. I just know it felt funny and snap! Broke line. My guess was it was cut on the gill plate. Anyway, better than a kick in the pants.
