Slug ?

I just got a slug barrel for my 870.Shot a few different slugs at 50yrds just to see which one's patterned the best. It seemed to really like the federal barns hollow pnt.What would be best? Dead on at 50? 1" high at 50? How would it shoot at 100?

With it being a slug gun i'd actually want to shoot it at 100yds to see what it does..

Sight it in 2 inches high at 50yds. It should be on the money at 100yds. You should try different weights and velocities of slugs to determine which the barrel likes best. My hastings likes slugs in the 1 oz range with a velocity of around 1500 fps.
