slow start to season

Hope all the young hunters have some success this weekend! As for me, I have seen a total of two deer while "hunting" - one as entered the woods around daylight on the second weekend and the other last weekend as I rode out on my atv - LOL. Anybody else having such bad luck? I know temps were not conducive early, but I really thought there would be some deer moving around last weekend, then the rains came! Regardless, good luck to all of you

Slow for me and mine as well. I've only been hunting 3 times so far, and took my daughter Sat night and evening, getting soaked both times. The ONLY deer seen thru all of the outings so far was that my daughter saw a deer at the base of her ladder stand Sat morning as we approached it. I, however, was too busy gawking at the tree that had fallen and landed touching the ladder portion of the stand. I turned to her and said "wow, see that tree?!" Her response was "Daddy, did you see that deer?"
