Went after skip jacks, on purpose, for the first time. Trying to get some back up bait handy for catfish. They may be the funnest freshwater fish I've caught. Did it with a sabiki rig and having 3 hooked and all 3 jumping is pretty exciting. They get a little bigger than I expected too. Had a couple pushing close to 2 pounds.

That's a ton of fun below Chickamauga Dam and great for kids but I make my youngest wear a life jacket even on the sidewalk down there fishing when the water is rolling. If he were to get excited about a fish and not pay attention. It would be a blink of an eye and he would be downstream. I've never used a sabiki rig for them over this way, just a white foley spoon.
