Hit the Jackpot on two tackle boxes.

A man I work with told me he had several tackle boxes that were his deceased father-in-laws. He does not fish and has no use for them. I told him if he wanted to sell them to bring them in and I would look them over. He brought in two big tackle boxes on Monday. I made him an offer and he jumped on it. When I got them home and started doing an inventory I was shocked at how much great stuff I had bought. The boxes contained over 200 assorted plugs, Rapala shallow plugs, deep plugs slash baits, Zara Spooks, Zara puppy spooks, frogs, jitter bugs, hula poppers, rattle traps, devil horses, lots of older plugs from the 70's and 80's. Maps marked with fishing spots, several pliers, and some old flies. I figure it was around $500 worth of Rapala plugs alone. Some of it was fairly new and some was older.

I told him to bring in some more tackle boxes.

How much did you get them for? Some of those older lures if in perfect shape might be worth some coin.

This is what was in the first tackle box I went through yesterday. I hung all the plugs just to get them organized and figure out what I had.

I ran out of peg hooks so Tackle Box 2 will have to wait a day or two.
