I watched a bunch of stuff back in the early 90s, Roger Raglin, Jackie Bushman, Dan Fitzgerald, and a few others. I got disinfranchised with hunting shows way back then. Once I figured out that most of the land was private and/or paid hunts, it all started to lose its appeal.

Most of today's "TV" crowd is unwagable. The lingo, shady backstories to the hunts, and a fair number have been busted doing illegal stuff.

I will watch some of the videos of people testing guns, bows, and other hunting equipment, but not the actual hunting.

Money tends to ruin everything, first whitetails, then ducks, and now Elk.

Completely agree on this. I love YouTubers who do controlled side-by-side tests of different products.

He's shooting from a prone position while I'm watching closely through the binocs. Dad shoots the goat drops in its tracks and I say "Farout!" Dad says " what the hell do mean farout? It's on the ground!" I didn't live that slang down for the next few years!

I was burnt out watching deer shows in the late 80s and early 90s. My hunting and expectations were so different than the shows I watched. I learned how to hunt from old wise hunters and did not waste time watching those videos. I do not care to even watch shows in the off season. The last promotion trailer video I watched was with Stan Potts. When he shot the buck he immediately knew he, "Smoked a Booner". I have been fortunate to kill some +120" bucks and I have come close to killing one +160" buck. Old bucks use the wind and are difficult to hunt. It was fun hunting the old deer.
