I'm currently sighting in a new powder/bullet/open sight combo. Currently shooting 110gr of 777 with 270gr Platinum Powerbelts. I had to convert to loose powder, open sights and non-saboted bullets for my trip out west this fall. I was shooting fairly high at 50 yards and really high at 100 yards, probably 6" and 10" respectively. Should I back off the powder and/or adjust my rear sight accordingly? I'm just trying to get dialed in as efficiently as possible. Thanks, in advance.

Have you experimented with other volumes of powder? Often times you can find the rifles sweet spot working loads from 90 - 110 in 5 grain increments to get much better consistency.

I would go 300g -350g as the critters tend to be bigger out there unless its a speed goat hunt

It's simple....you will need to either raise your front sight or lower your rear. Really not enough info given here.

I'd check my group first. Make sure it's grouping to your standards. Then I would adjust sights.
This is exactly what I do. I would not change the powder loads until I knew whether or not my groupings were tight. Get the sights right first though. Shoot at least a 3 or 4 shot group and adjust the elevation accordingly. Once you have your sights where you want them, then work up loads for best accuracy.
