WIth AR's does anyone do this?

I'm headed to left handed shooting with my
eye problems, deciding on which guns
won't make the cut. I know my
Sendero FS II will be going away tried it lefty
not working out

A long time ago I quit shooting right handed rifles or shotguns. A few pieces of burnt powder or gas hitting you in the face will get your attention in a hurry. Lucky for me I was wearing shooting glasses.
Stag Arms makes several different left handed AR's and they shoot pretty good. I own one and am considering buying another.

I know a lot of lefties who shoot right handed guns but to me it is simply to dangerous and risky due to the ejection port being just inches from your face and eye.

Never used an AR but back in high school when I broke my collar bone away from my sternum I couldn't shoot right handed for quite some time.

All I can say is it takes alot of practice, or it did for me, but you can learn to shoot lefty.

Hardest for me was a shotgun.

The military has never purchased a left handed firearm and I have seen lots of lefties shoot the AR with no problem. Also, we all had to shoot ambi while I was in and I never had a problem. Still practice it from time to time.

I have put literally thousands and thousands of rounds downrange with a righty AR and im a lefty. I never had any issues at all and I shot expert on the rifle range, twice. I had no issue shooting it controlled, cyclic, or in cqb style settings. You should be fine.

i'm a lefty and used to shoot left handed. i switched to right handed when i got my first semi auto .22 as a kid. one deer season i injured my right hand pretty badly and had to shoot left handed that season. i still practice both sides but am better shooting right handed.

OK, y'all haven't had problems. Good for y'all- but there IS leftover powder, irreversible hearing damage, etc that can be problematic.
Not if you wear proper ear and eye protection.

irreversible hearing damage,

you're saying a gun is louder if shot lefthanded?

Of course the gun isn't louder because it's shot left-handed, smarty. I'm saying it's more likely to cause hearing damage because the action is right next to, and angled towards the shooter's ear.

I have a LH shotgun, finally got one after years of using a RH. I wish I'd bought it way back because it's MUCH more comfortable to shoot. All of you that say you've never had a problem, I never did either, but I bet if you tried a LH gun you'd realize why they're better for LH shooters.

wasn't being smart. I just didn't understand your comment. I have a lefthanded BAR but still prefer my right handed guns.

I have both a left hand and a right hand AR and can shoot both left hand without any problems.

got to do something soon, missed coyote this morning

Go for the right hand. You will be able to shoot it the same all day long. It has turned into one of my best rifles I own.
