Shooting a doe to lure a buck?

We discussed this last year,and many were in favor of this.
Question is,which doe? I assume a lone doe?For those that have used this tactic,dead doe in heat laying in front of you,how do you decide which doe?

BSK if you read this,Im sure its a timing thing,and I think you are familiar with my area.5 miles SE of Lobelville,what dates would you think the most does would be in heat in my area?

Im not really looking for more meat in November to be honest,so trying to figure a good way to determine which doe.Sorry repeating myself But yes I will eat the doe,wether It works or not.

A doe that's in heat can normally be identified. Most times they act nervous or agitated. Some will be continuously checking their backtrail, flicking their tail, even licking their backside often. Does in Heat move more than normal but in a smaller area. I personally wouldn't shoot just any doe, if she didn't appear to be in heat or wasn't being pursued by buck(s) I wouldn't shoot her. Even then only if the situation calls for it. Just my opinion.

Agreed on all points. I wouldn't shoot a doe as a buck attractant, but shooting a doe and letting her lay for the rest of that hunt certainly won't hurt your buck hunting during the rut.

Dead on! I have and will again shoot a hot doe in front of a buck if the occasion arises. It's worked for me on multiple occasions.
