In our club, we have very strict guidelines for bucks which must be 125 inches gross or 4.5 years old. This buck falls into the category of "hard to tell". He is close enough on score that he is on the bubble and with respect to his age, it's not completely clear if he is mature (i.e. 4.5). We see many of these bucks during the season and they usually get a pass. If you could see him during the rut out in the open, you might get enough confirmation to make the right call. Good luck with him, he's very nice.
 
That was not the buck in the first photo. I am very strict about when and where I hunt due to weather and time of day. Where that buck is I will not hunt there unless I have a SE wind and It has to be in the morning. So far I have had one morning that met the criteria. Hopefully I will be getting in there soon.
