Harvested this buck tending a doe Sunday morning with my .45 cal muzzleloader. Sending a payload of Benchmark and 300 grain Parker Match Hunter bullet into his chest at 170 yards. I had the same buck at 50 yards and passed on him opening morning. I quickly regretted that decision.

Quick measurements:
19.5" inside spread
23" and 24" main beams
5.5" and 5.25 bases
Hope you let him finish !
WHAT A STUD!!
Congratulations!

My wife text me yesterday while at work and said, "I didn't think to ask, but where are you putting the buck you killed Saturday and what if you kill a good one in Illinois". I told her there's always room for more mounts 🤣 She seems to think 9 shoulder mounts and 2 turkeys is a little excessive 🤣 I have another 10-14 months before I have to explain to her that it's going in the living room as well.
HAHAHA.. good man.. she'll get used to them :D

There are some consistent big bug killers here on this site. And You hang wit the best of them! Congrats
Thank you CBhunter that means a lot. I always want to try and harvest the most mature animal on the farm. We put in a lot of work to grown them!!
