Scoped shotgun

Well after using scoped shotguns for over 20 years I've finally done it, was bent all out of shape trying to shoot to my right and paid the price

I shoot a scoped shotgun as well for turkeys and I am waiting for it to happen.

I hope you got him, but I know twisting and contorting when trying to shoot can produce misses.

Is that the Mossberg Turkey Thug 935? I Have the same gun, love the pistol grip, but it does pack a punch. I use a Red Dot scope to offer some eye relief.

If i didnt get the starburst effect with my sorry eyes i would use a ff3 , 1 in 20 years aint bad

Congrats. I have a 410 I am debating scoping instead of red dotting. My eyesight isn't the great and thought it might work better. I will probably end up with the red dot due to cost and weight.

Ive got almost 5 in of eye relief on that setup just the way i was try to shoot righ side orund the tree i was outta position and it let the stock slip up over my shoulder head was out of position and wham! Ive killed 43 birds with that combo first time i ever got to close lol

Touché touché…I get a small starburst with mine but not terrible. Think it's from a stigmatism or something

Yep thats what it is, funny thing with the 8 moa dot i see it perfect but it covers to much bird with the three i see about 4 different dots and lots of red haze

Not scope eye but once I was in a pop up blind, sitting on a 3 legged stool and got myself all contorted then pulled the trigger. Me, the stool and the blind flipped completely backwards. LOL.

I had a 835 for years and sold it because I didnt like the heavy recoil,bought a 935 semi and recoil wasnt as bad but still hurts!I'm in the market next year for either a 20 ga or 28 ga.On your 20ga,whats your effective range?

It will hold enough patteren to 60-65 but i limit myself to 40 and in

That is great range for a good pattern and I have hardly ever shot one over 45 yards with my 12 ga!Thanks for the reply!
