I was going to go to bass pro this weekend and get the scentlock full season suit. Does any body wear carbon clothes or do you prefer regular or does it really matter????

I wear Scent Lok.
Is it a fail safe end all solution, absolutely not.
Do I feel it helps, certainly.
Is it all mental, possibly.
Killed just as many without it though.

I have killed MORE deer with my Scentlok on than without it on.
Not just that, but I've seen more deer, and had them come right underneath me and not smell me. That didn't happen before.
Is it the 'be all, end all' of scent containment? Of course not. You still have to play the wind and use your common sense. But properly used, and used in conjunction with scent killer spray, and showering with an odor neutralizing soap, it's gotten me better results than years of not using it.
What it also does for me is give me some wiggle room if I make a mistake on my scent containment somewhere. When I was with a hunting club that had a bunk house (but no working showers), we wood stoke up the wood-burning stove, cook all kinds of crap, some guys would smoke cigars, and then we would go to sleep. And going into the woods the next day smelled like the cabin coming into the woods. Even when i left my stuff in the truck overnight, my hair and skin reeked of the smells of the cabin.
However, using the scentlok helped with the odor problem...

From what I've read, Scentlock is being sued for false advertisement. It doesn't work any better than regular hunting gear.

I love my full season suit. It is very comfortable and perfect for bow hunting. It isn't wind proof, so you might need to layer on the colder days. I just got back from elk hunting and I wore mine every day. Good purchase!

I simply see more deer by playing the wind with each stand and I do spray down heavy.
I've hunted three times this year and had deer within 18 yards are closer all three times and twice they were downwind and shot two of them. Maybe my regular camo is scent proof. LOL

a staple of the hunt.. I dont leave home without it. And i have killed way more deer with it than without

I have several friends who use this stuff and swear by it. I can't bring myself to spend the money for it. They make some clothing that has silver thread in it that supposedly elimintes your scent through a chemical reaction. Has anyone tried this stuuf and does it work. It is a little bit cheaper than the scentlok and doesn't need to be "re-charged"

I'm no scientist, but I believe it doesn't work any better than non-carbon clothes. Here are some of the assertions of some of the scientists.
1. When you buy it, it is already saturated with scent (from the store or wherever) and doesn't work.
2. So you reactivate it. But unfortunately, the temperature needs to be at least 10x hotter than the hottest home dryer to reactivate it.
3. Even if it could be reactivated, there is so little carbon in the clothes that scent easily sneaks through.
If it doesn't work but you have confidence in it, by all means it works for you.
