Whats a good bait for sauger. Im trying it for the first time. also where to fish for them like near the bank or around rocks. Im uneducated on sauger fishing i need to get educated fast lol.

Depending on where your fishing... depth & current ... One-ounce football head jigs with a stinger hook, tipped with a tuffie minnow.

In shallow water, 1/4 oz. hair jig tipped with a tuffie.

Best areas are normally current seams and underwater structure immediately downstream from TVA Dams. Pickwick is hotspot in West TN... Ft. Loudon, Watts Bar good spots in East TN. Cheatham Tailwaters near Nashville...
