beautiful morning to be stalking the hardwoods. went to my parents farm because i got up a little late. shot 2 right off then went an hour with out seeing a squirrel. squirrel number 3 was a barking fox squirrel followed by three pairs of grays. had to wait another hour before i shot squirrel 10, a big fox in the top of a sycamore. unfornately, the shot was too good. he just slumped over in the fork, deader than a hammer, and would not come out.saw a couple working on my way out but i knew i had killed my 10. i only will count it as 9 as that is what i put in the truck. went 10-13 with a 2 shots in the fox squirrel i didnt recover and a miss at a long distance traveler, cant wait to go to a new spot in the morning. squirrels are definitely in the oaks now. saw my a buck with hard antler this morning along with a buck still in velvet.

Ok you answered it. You are hunting multiple spots. You are a squirrel killing machine RB :D . I saw two this morning and i am almost positive that one had hard antlers.

Yeah I have been 4 times-got 3, 2, 3, 2 all on my place. I don't have quite the squirrel density that I have had in some years but have had good hunts. They are still cutting in the pignut hickories primarily here but have seen some chestnut oak and dogwood cuttings too. PH
