Found the spot. Chestnut acorns, deer poop, new and old rubs. Just inside the edge of a corn field cut a month ago. Climber hung.
Should I be there Saturday a.m. , p.m. or both ?

Too many unknown variables to answer that question. There are locations similar to what you speak of on our property. One of them I would not even try to get in there in the morning, the other we can get away with hunting both.

Hypothetically....if you're after a potential older buck that might be using that area I'd wait until the PM hunt. If you're after anything else try the AM and if that doesn't pan out try the PM.

I've taken mature bucks on the opener in early morning and evening...just a crap shoot of where they will be. To many variables to calculate.

i go every chance i get

X3, I've never killed one lying on the couch. More time you spend on stand the better your chances.

I'll hunt opening morning till about 12. Then the last 3 hours of daylight,

Agreed, small chance of showers where we hunt in the morning which typically helps our deer movement. I'll be there for both.

Typically I can set my watch by deer movement during early season. I either get a shot opportunity early AM say the first hour or so or it's going to be a long sit till they start moving again till 10 Amish till around 11:30 ish AM then nothing till 3 hours on till dark. Usually being the last 45 min of light before any activity gets moving,
