Been very impressed w her considering her teach just got in dokken's rack wax and took her out hid 8 under leaves and in the dark. She found and retrieved all 8 in about 5 min! Like I said I'm tickled to death w her! Here is a short video from a couple days ago.. If you notice on this particular find, she runs a couple feet down wind of the antler, turns around and finds it.. Surprisingly for me it really wasnt to difficult, but she naturally wanted to retrieve. Weve done very little work on a check cord, infact none in the last 3 weeks.. and ive only had her 5.. and one of those weeks she was down with parvo. Ive wanted a dog that would do it since i heard about shed dogs. And I really think I lucked out this time. I thought about a professional trainer, but theyre high$ and at the rate she's progressed I hope we can do it on our on... Toight she saw me carrying antlers out the back door and she was waiting at the door ready to go when I came back in from hiding them... We got 3 more months until shed "season" so plenty of time to keep getting better.
