Went out yesterday eve, and have been out Monday of this week as well. I've seen does and small bucks every trip this week, and even seen a couple bucks still hanging together, just feeding. The does that came under me last evening were just a little nervous, but their hocks were still relatively white. I think, for my area, that the week of Thanksgiving will be ramping up the rut activity this season, as opposed to the couple weeks before the last few seasons. This is how it used to time out back in the 80's and 90's mostly around here for me. :)
Oh, saw a spike at about 50 yds apparently rubbing a tree. He was getting with it. :D

This post makes me feel a lot better. This is my first year having permission on private/running trail cameras and I am still a novice. As of last monday I was still getting pictures does grouped together and still no pictures of any daylight buck activity. I was starting to get really confused. I did a public land hunt in middle Tennessee two weeks ago and there was definite rut activity going on. I was starting to think that I missed the rut all together. It is wild that it could be so different just a hours away.

I work by the mcgee tyson airport in knoxville and on a test drive yesterday on airbase rd saw a big bodied tall 8pt crossed the rd at 10 am almost hit him. He was nose down

Now I have been seeing dead deer on the sides of the roads to and from work over the mtn to Chattanooga, but as far as my property up North of there a bit, it's just not on fully yet.

Had an intense chase come by back on November 9, Have seen some smaller ones cruising, yesterday a little buck was pushing some does in front of me, just now seeing scrapes open up.

Same for me MUP, was starting to scratch my head a little. Seen a lone doe this morning just feeding without a care in the world. I hope this weekend and next week are the week to be in the woods. I've wasted a week of vacation this week. Hoping to not make it 2 wasted weeks.

I'm off next week as well, but now the rain chances are creeping up  I've had a couple of lone does come feeding thru as well the last couple of weeks. It's about to turn on I think around here. And cue the rain, just in time.

Opening Day of ML I had a little 6 pt push a fawn doe out of her little group and chase her around some. So far tho it's business as usual with the does feeding together, and some cruising bucks, and some still hanging around together, younguns that is.

A very nice buck (3.5 yo 8 point, it appeared) was tending a doe right next to hwy 27 on my way home from work this afternoon.

Dad shot a nice 10 pointer this afternoon with a 20" spread. He was with a doe. But his neck was starting to swell and his hocks was starting to get stained pretty good. This next week should be pretty hot in SW Bradley co.

Dads Buck from this afternoon.

Thanksgiving morning. Saw 10 deer , all does, maybe a button in there. 3 came thru early, then two loners, then 4, then another loner way up the ridge behind me. I thought for sure that one would have a buck following. Anyway, best day yet for numbers.

The deer are Really on there feet this afternoon. Didn't see any bucks but saw 16 does feeding on grass pretty heavy around here.

Went this morning, saw my 4 does :D and a 3 pt cruised thru just a couple minutes after them. It's been different so far this season, as in like the rut timing we used to have back in the 80s it seems. Still have not seen a decent racked mature buck as of yet.

I'm in east Tn also. I have a camera at the house and have doe's on it all the time. Have only seen young bucks this year so far. I usually have several mature bucks on cam by now but not the first one so far. I leave the doe alone hoping they'll drag in the bucks. It's just a small piece of property. But surrounded by farms I'm not allowed to hunt anymore. Because the kids got the farms now and they don't even hunt.Even if it's at night I usually have pics of mature bucks by now. No clue what the deal is.

Hunted this morning in Morgan county ; heard one shot. Hunted till noon, STILL DOES NOT SEEM TO OF HAPPENED YET, anyone else seeing it different.

Were you hunting Gobey? Me shooting a doe this morning was the only one my dad and I heard.

The 9pt I killed yesterday was chasing a doe all over the holler.

I usually hunt public land. But the camera deal and not seeing mature bucks is in northern Greene county. And I'm not gonna shoot doe and have deer leave my 3 acres that I own. Not allowed to hunt the farms anymore as I said already.Cause they have brought in mature bucks in the past by this time. Just not this year yet.If I had bigger acreage I would shoot a doe for meat. But where am I gonna go when they leave my 3 acres. I'm sure it's going on to some degree just not sure why it's not the usual
