Gonna buy some. The ones I have tried seem to
fit to loose. They don't seem to be to good to
walk in. Would like some with good arch
support. Are there any that fit similar to a lace up?
Does the ones with the neoprene uppers defeat
the purpose of having a rubber boot as far as
scent goes?

Oh yeah,I've tried different sizes.

to be honest i was not sold on them but i got a pair of muck boots woody max (they are the insulated version) and i am offically sold on them. They are super light, easy to walk in and you can fold them down. Also best of all my feet never got cold one time even during that REALLY cold snap we got a while back.
 
I bought a pair of Rocky Buckmaster rubber boots w/1200grams of thinsulate a few yrs back and my feet stay pretty warm. The alpha burly boots are the real deal though,they kick booty

Ditto , I love my Muck Boots . I have the Woody Max too .
 
Same here. I have two pair of muck boots. If I could go jogging in my Woody Max's I would! As far as I know I've never had any problems with deer pickin my trail up in my boots.
 
Lacrosse Alpha Lite.....I wore them this year when it was snowing, feet didnt get cold at all. Plus the heel on these shoes fits the heel on your foot snug so there is no slipping. I have hiked big ridges with them too. As comfortable as a hiking shoe, and warm as well. LACROSSE Alpha lie 7.0mm
 
I use the a/b also and have the a/b snake boots. They are by far the most comfortable snake boot I've ever worn.
 
I love the Muck boots because they are easy to get on and off. You can also roll down the sides if you are planning on walking far. I have the new Stealth hunters and they are great!
 
No question about it ....Muck Woody Max is da bomb!!! Light and i like the flexible soes better than the alph burlys......
 
For you muck boot guys, I have a pair of the low cut green ones and my feet rarely get cold working around the barn and yard. I normally have a big problem with cold feet in hunting boots, even the insulated ones.
Are the muck hunting boots that good? If they are warmer than the shoes I have, I may be trying a pair out for next season.
 
And ONLY one pair of socks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Get a good pair with as much merino wool as possible around the 80% content and you would never double them up. By doing that you cut off the circulation and naturally make your feet cold! I have been doing this the last few years and have never really had a problem with cold feet!

Yup! Had mine one season and hung the bottom of an old fence and ripped a 2" slit in the side :mad: Tried everything to patch it but no luck,man those were some good boots
