I know a lot of you will say "don't bother" but I want to begin my post-season scouting by seeing what Royal Blue has to offer for next year.
I want a walk-in only area with hopefully some food plots within walking distance.
This place is huge and I could really use some help narrowing down my search.
I have a topo of the WMA and have heard that the strip mines are good prospects.
Any help is appreciated. :?:

The strip pits are good advice. Don't leave anything in your truck you don't want stolen, and just leave your doors unlocked to avoid broken windows, yes it is that bad.

You will, ask the TWRA guys. It is not their fault, just the area. Three friends have been broken into, one had an enclosed metal trailer chopped into and every thing, even his beds were taken(guns, lanterns, clothes, chairs, etc.).

Holy crap. I'm gonna stay the heck away from there now then. That's ridiculous

I hunt the north Cumberland WMA just south of royal blue. Never a problem getting broken into. Knock on wood. But the strip pits are good advice and any of the old clear cuts that have hollers joining them that weren't cut are always good to look at and around.

I rode Royal Blue for years and never had any issues. I'm gonna chance it next season and use a 4wheeler to get to spots.

Which exit 134 or 141 are you guys having trouble out of I no a few guys that hung up there and they have never told me about any of that and most of them say if you get far enough away you'll see deer just about every hunt thinking about trying it next year
