I found this rifle in a pawn shop a couple months ago and couldn't let it stay on the rack for the price they were asking. So it had to come home with me. The stock was beat up real bad with nicks, dings, and scratches all over the original finish. I should have taken a pic to show the transformation but forgot to take one. I sanded the stock down using different grit sandpaper and then finished it off with the finest paper I could find. I then finished it off with several coats of Tru Oil with a couple of days in between to let the oil soak in. I can't wait to take it deer hunting this year.

Believe it or not I just posted on the favorite gun thread that mine was my favorite rifle for hunting. I love mine. Bought one for my son a few years back also.

Great job. I did a couple of stocks with Tru-oil also, works great!

I had one of those once , and it was a fine deer rifle with H-110 powder behind the Super-Vell reloads I shot in it. The 2400 powder left unburned grains that fouled the action and caused jams.

surprised they had it at a good price. I know a bunch of people love them. If you happen to run on another at a good price give me a holler I could use a second one. :)
