Those 50cal Encores are the pickiest muzzleloaders I have ever seen, but when you find the right load they'll shoot. Know a few that have one and some load 100gr loose or pellets with around a 250gr bullet and one with a 285gr barnes. A couple shoot 120gr Blackhorn 209 with a 285gr or 300gr barnes. Not much specifics on load info you looking for just mentioning what I have seen out of them over the last 20 years. I will add this, my friend has one shooting 120gr Blackhorn with a 285gr Barnes and it will eat the middle 4" of an 8" steel plate up at 250 yards all day long.

Don't have a 50, but I use 120gr blackhorn and a 195 Barnes with a harvester easy load sabot and it's the best load I've found and I've tried about everything. Would agree with Grill-n-man on what his friend is shooting. Can't go wrong with blackhorn and Barnes combination.
I use 90 grains loose 777 and a Barnes mz. 245 grain I think. It's very accurate.

90 grains BH 209 by volume and 300 grain XTP is what mine loves.

I shoot the TC FX (Fixed Barrel ML on encore platform)...100g pyrodex (2 pellets) and the the Traditions XTP Hunter (Hornady) 240 gr bullets, shoots great in my gun.

BARNES 250 Grain Spit-Fire T-EZ on top of 110 grains by volume of Blackhorn 209 powder. Best load I've found for my Encore.
