Range reports.

Anyone else take detailed notes on their range days. I've seen it done in other forums and thought I'd try. See how things change over time and weather conditions. What else should or add I do have a chronograph but didn't feel like getting it out

I'm not that thorough but like the idea. You know it's July shooting when your arm sweat is on the notebook.

Yes I did. Roughly 3225

This was just running powder charges across looking for pressure. Shot 6 is what I'm shooting now at various depths. 1-4 were .5 increments, 5-7 were .3. 76.7,77,77.3. Settled on 77 for now. The error shot was 3249

Is that win mag? If so, that's pretty quick
I'd be really intrigued what that same load would look like at 28*

Yes it's a win mag. I'm not showing signs of pressure, but it's over what the book shows. Honestly surprised myself.

Yes I do as well. It helps to look back and know how your rifle was shooting with a particular load in particular weather conditions. Density altitude is also a helpful measurement to record per each session.

Here's one from way back and yep, that same exact load still produces the same results. Better scope now, too.

That's assuming my Caldwell chrony is correct lol. I think it's close but I've never compared it to anything

My 180 gr NAB/NBT's are only at 2700-2750 tops. Also using RL22, R-P Brass and CCI LR primers, from a 28" barrel.

Yeah, it was officially hot. Once it get past 95 no index stuff life gets interesting. As I recall the barrels still cooled down.

Maybe its just me, and I see this all the time, but the #1 piece of information I feel is the most important when looking at a group is not in any of the notes. Distance.
