What's the best rain suit that keeps you dry and don't break the bank. I bought a field n stream back a few years ago and it's crap. Only thing it does is make a good wind breaker. $100 down the drain.

Get you some of that stuff from walmart.
Camp dry maybe?

It is in a can and you spray your suit to waterproof it.
I had good luck with that on mine.

You get what you pay for with rain suits. MT050 is a really good one but it's high. A good umbrella is worth its weight in gold if you can use it in your set up

agree on you get what you pay for. if you want one that actually keeps you dry and will last then you are going to have to pay for it. Plan and simple. also agree the MT050 stuff is very good, i have not tried the light weight versions but have the heavy weight stuff and it is very nice.

I have carried a camo poncho for years and its come in handy many times. I usually try and find a small cedar tree and drape it over the branches. Makes a nice little tent!

Money well spent, my personal favorite is Cabelas Guide gear, costly but worth every dollar!
