Quota hunt suggestion

Forgive me if this has been brought up before, but i just thought of it.

Could we have a system where people could turn in their quota hunts that they can't use? (Without a refund)

Then we could have a leftover permit bucket that is refilled as people turn in their unused quota hunts. No advertising needed, people could just check it occasionally if they need a hunt.

In addition to having more quota hunts utilized, it would also generate more income.

If we did, the quotas would have to be lowered. Our Area Managers that suggest the quotas have a pretty good feel on the number of no-shows, and they set the quotas accordingly. If all spots were ultimately filled, they would need to start lower to start with.

It would be a bear to administer and likely would get very few additional people in the woods.

Please let me belatedly add, thank you for the thought. I failed to do so earlier after a long "one of those days" today. I always appreciate folks taking the time to try to help us do better.
