i just bought it last week and never got to ride it yet and it runs but it needs piston rings because they are getting thin and got tomuch clearence between the piston wall and the piston so i figured i would buy some new rings if it's bored .40 over std. bore so what size would that make the piston in now? i know the std. size is 83.00 mm stock bore but i can't figure out what the size is when it's bored out to .40 over std. can any one help me where i wont waste my money on new pistons and stuff

I would take it apart and measure it (piston/cylnder/ring gap). You said to much distance btwn the rings/piston and cylnder wall, could put additional wear on the wall. If so, you'd have to go bigger (if able), or smaller (back to stock, .10, .20.... over). You may find that the jug was punched .40 over and only a .30 over piston kit was used...there's no telling until ya tear it down and measure. Service manual could have these measurements too. You should be able to call a dealership/shop with the measurements.

oh ok i'll take and measure it tomarrow and the call my dealer and see what they say about it and see what size it is and thanks the help i'll measure it tomarrow and take and call the dealer and then post on here what they say about it
