Prop hub question

I was pulling the kids on the tube behind my deck boat this afternoon. I have a 90 mercury with a 17 pitch 4 blade. I was in a turn and the prop spun out. Question is should I have it fixed, or just buy a new one? It will still pull just not at full throttle. I have to really ease into it. I had a 19 pitch 3 blade before and this new one has been a big improvement. Should I stick with an aluminum prop or go with a stainless?

You should be able to just buy a new hub kit

If you're happy with the props performance then just get a new hub put in. A drop in the bucket compared to a new prop

Agreed with the above. You can do it yourself if you can find one of these to remove the prop: Amazon product ASIN B0000BYF3X
Or, a 1 1/6" socket will work also if you have one.

Stainless or bronze if it is still available. Had an aluminum prop on my old boat, replaced with with SS.
