Stopped by coop today for some clover seed. Just out of curiosity I asked what was the price of two and half gallons of corner stone weed killer.
Last year it was $55 this year $115. Don't know what the farmers will do between price of fertilizer and this itll kill all their profit. Thanks for everything Joe!

The farmers will pass the cost onto us.

Doesn't work that way.

America is all about capitalism except in farming and Healthcare. Reimbursements for both are socialistic models.

What will drive food prices up is if farmers don't produce as much... either plant less or yield is lower (from skimping on high priced herbicide and fertilizer)

I agree farmers always gets the short end of the stick. No matter what it cost to produce food the farmer gets paid the same. Where I live in east tn, all the small diary producers have been push out of business. My family was very small and very poor tobacco farmers till they where pushed out. Seems to me that's the end goal to push everyone out.

I picked up some imitator plus gly at rural king this past Friday. They had it marked $109 for 2.5 gallons down from $129, but then they had the shelves with a tag showing $89 from March 1 until I think May. Rang up 109. Took a pic of the tag on the shelf, they honored the price on the tag.

Last year I paid $39.99, I think, for the same product. Madness.

This was at the Martin store, may help someone.

Last it was $49.99 for 2.5 gal at TC, this year it's $129.99.

Unbelievable!!!
And I didn't buy it until it went on sale for $39.99 LOL. I've got three 2.5 gallon jugs. We were doing some work a few weeks ago and I pointed towards the jugs and asked our guys how much money they thought was sitting right there. They didn't have a clue. I told them about $425 after taxes. Their faces were priceless. Glad I bought those 3 jugs a year ago!

TSC has their 41% gly for $139 for 2.5 gal. This is usually $49 to $54. I've seen it as high as $209 this year. I'm gonna hold off as long as I can and see how prices go.

Yep, I've got about 7 gal left over from last year but usually use about 20....😐 Definitely rethinking my approach this year.
