anybody used these and how affective are they? im looking at the 225 gr and 275 gr and cant decide which to choose from.
got to find some new bullets before mz season. would love to have the hornady's but there to hard to load

i used the powerbelt platinums last year and hated them. lost 3 deer with them. give me some info on the ones you use MH. are they sabots or what. what grain?

Throw the powerbelts away and use the Hornady FPB bullet!! If your going to use them, use a low powder charge.

hey anyone got any powerbelt bullets just send them to me if they are for a .50 cal muzzleloader i use them all the time with 90 grain loose powder and with prepacked powder and they work really good out of my knight

Yes, they are sabots. Here is a link to them. Best shooting bullet I have found by far. Lots of good info on the website. You can buy them at Cabelas as well. I have used the 175 gr. and the 195 gr. in my CVA Hunterbolt. I just ordered the 250 gr. Cabelas Extended Range Precision Rifle bullet for my CVA Accura to give a try.

All I used to shoot were powerbelts out of my cva ml. shot several deer with'em, never lost one to them. Only reason I switched bullets was because of a new ML. I now shoot the 240gr hornady sst's out of my knight 45.
