Need some advice on pulling a tube behind my Dad's pontoon boat. It's a 20+ft suntracker, with a 90 hp outboard. We want to pull a tube behind it this week, but as I look at the rear of the boat, I am having a hard time finding good hookup points. The only thing I see really are two eyes welded on the top/rear of the pontoons (which I've heard tubing can either weaken those welds or weaken the connections between the pontoons and the boat. Which makes sense if you your pushing the boat frame forward with the motor, while pulling the pontoons backward with the weight and force of the towing. The only other points that I see is on the side of the boat, about 4 feet from the rear on both sides are two really big U-bolts, bolted into the aluminum decking of the boat. Looks like it's doable, but I would hate to warp that aluminum if it's not strong enough. That's all I really see, unless I am overlooking something... I know the best case scenario is probably purchasing or building something to attach to the boat, I'm just not sure if we can pull that off by Wed. What do you guys think?
