This year we have added ponds at all of our foods plots. It's really funny to see all the tracks around the ponds when we know we have a large creek and kentucky lake on the borders of our lease. These ponds are designed to be filled by run off. Is there any disease control that we should worry about other than fertilizers or weed control products?

By creating standing, stagnant water on your property, you are probably increasing the risk of the local deer to Hemorrhagic Disease outbreaks.

Also remember deer get the vast majority of their water needs from the plants they eat. Now deer will certainly utilize water sources when available, but water surces are one of their least important needs.
