We had a good couple days in Texas. 9 birds between the 3 of us. One of my buddies killed 4, I killed 3, and my other buddy killed 2. I've heard thousands of gobbles in the last 2 days, had roosts of 200 plus birds that had over 40 gobblers in them. Already looking forward to next years trip.
Went to Texas last year. Nothing like it around here. Saw the sheds too. I picked up a big toat of antlers and made two lamps with mine. Congrates on such a successful trip.

Yeah, I'm curious as well if it was public or an outfitter. We looked at a Texas trip for this spring, but every outfitter I talked to wanted us to hunt blinds overlooking a corn feeder. Not my cup of tea.
We hunted with an outfitter. He showed us the property and turned us loose. No feeders on his place, just a lot of birds to hunt. The roosts were huge with 200 plus birds and it made them really tough to hunt because of the amount of birds. It was hard to break off birds from the groups. We had run of the whole place while we were there. The weather was cold for Texas or I think we could have done a little better.
