Anbody ever do this? I've only tried to cook a boston butt in the ground one time as a "trial" before I go screwing up a whole pig. Good thing because I screwed the boston butt up. After building the fire, letting it burn down to hot coals, and then covering it for 14 hours. I uncovered it to find it luke warm and raw. I think I packed the dirt down to hard and completely smothered the coals. Just looking for people with experience doing this.
