Opinion this food plot mix?

Sounds like it would be hard to plant, some fluffy seed(NWSG) and bigger seed like sunflower, and then the millets. Would be tough to get everything at proper depths for good seedlings emergance.

Also, it would be year 2 before you see those grasses come on, if they make it.

Thanks

I understand it takes about 2 years for warm season grass to get established.

only a few of those species are considered "food". The sunflowers are the only species that deer will readly eat during the growing season. The milo and millet are more for cover or food for birds. The switchgrass, bluestem, indiangrass make excellent cover, but are not considered food species. So if you want a food plot--first decide what your food plot will be used to feed. Then start looking for plants. Get a copy of UTk extension publication PB1769.
