October 11th - Opening day of firearm season here in South Carolina and my birthday.
This doe came out at 7:45am and it was obvious that she spotted me but couldn't make out what I was. She kept doing the old head jerk, put her head down then jerk it up to look at me. The whole time she was facing directly at me. I waited about 10 minutes with this happening, making as little movement as possible then decided to take the frontal shot with the .270Win. Bang / Flop...
It was a great day and a great hunt.
