Does anyone here have any experience with this for their phone or GPS chip?

I'm considering getting the chip for my Garmin unit for use on both public and private land. I want to be able to get to some places on public land that I've never hunted before but don't want to inadvertently hunt illegally on a WMA or private property that borders the public ground so property boundaries and info are important.

Got it. Love it.

I've got the chip for Wyoming in my GPS and the phone app for TN. I'd stick with the phone app for TN as you can download the areas you'll be hunting into your phone for when you don't have service and you're never too far from internet to keep it updated. The chip for the GPS is nice if you are going to be spending time in the backcountry and need to save the battery, or you're hunting over large areas without spending time incivilization to update downloads.

I've got the Elite membership with all 50 states for the app., and the Tennessee chip. I don't leave home without it when hunting public land.

I've sent you a pm.

That's pretty much what I'll be doing. I plan to hunt off the beaten path when I'm on public ground and camp whenever possible. Been wanting to do it for a while and this year I'll finally have the opportunity so I want to make sure I stay where I'm supposed to be and don't get in trouble.

It will be some of the best money you spend. I have both the chip and phone app, both are wonderful. Online scouting at home is a huge advantage too using it to over lay on Google earth.

I use it for work and hunting. But beware, in private parcels, owner ship can be outdated by as much as 3 years.

onXmaps gets there information from the states tax assessor office. If you find areas that are that far out of date, send me a pm. I can send it to HQ and they will try to get that area resolved!
