One more trip

I need to make one more trip to the area I plan to hunt in the early season. I have to make one slight adjustment. Then I'll stay the heck out until I get ready to kill.

I have a charity run to get ready for and a 90-minute seminar to prepare for a college class for which I am doing some guest lecturing. Add to that, yard mowing and you have my monthly silly bus.

bowriter, how long do you believe a stand should remain "still" prior to opening day?

Two minutes or two days. Either hunt it the second you put it up or let the place cool a couple days. If you can give it two weeks, even better. A lot depends on how much disturbance you makein the area and how much the deer are use to human presence.
