Thanks...I had just bought some this at TSC and was wondering if it would work. Did you prep the ground at all, rake away leaves sticks etc...Im going to do 3 small plots.

You can throw and grow clover and turnips just as well. That's a lot of ryegrass. It's pretty low on a deer's list of things they want to eat, but it will make a nice green patch so it looks good. Good luck ever getting rid of it if you decide you don't like it. It is a tenacious reseeder.

I really don't want to get rid of it, its in the middle of the mountain on a 200 yard logging road. I will throw in more clover in the fall.
