My oldest son has taken an interest in duck hunting. He's mostly hunting on ky lake. My question is there anywhere you are not allowed to hunt on the lake or is the whole area open to hunting? Trying to find an area for them that is safe for them to access in a small boat so I'm not having to drop them off on an island in my bass boat 😄

There is a bunch of area that is part of the TN national wildlife refuge. Explaining the boundaries for everything that's off limits would take forever. It's from the birdsong channel south all the way to Morgan's crk and extends a good way up duck river. There's more up north around the big sandy unit and around LBL that is closed. Pretty much if there's no duck blinds it's most likely off limits.

☝️most are open though. Ginger bay, panther bay are good places to start. Panther can be a rough ramp on NE winds, fyi. 😆
