I want to invite everyone to come to Old Hickory's 1st annual team shoot this coming Saturday—this is going to be a ton of fun and a chance of putting some good cash in your pocket! The entry fee is $20 and the payback is 80%!!! How it will work for those not familiar with the ASA team shoot format is teams will be blind drawn by classes (picked from 50, 45, 40 and 30yd classes) and placed on a team. Old Hickory does reserve the right to redraw teams that are obviously loaded or disadvantaged in order to keep it as fair as possible (we don't want a team that has 1 semi-pro, 1 pro, 1 classic winner on the same team or a team that has 3 shooters in it that consistently shoots 40down either). The max yardage will be 45yds and every shot is unknown distance. You may and it's highly suggested that you openly discuss the yardage estimation with your group and use a strategy that benefits the group the most as far as shooting order. If a shooter shoots below a 40yd class, they may advance 10 steps from the stake for their shot.
This is the highlight for many at the ASA shoots as it is a great way to meet new people, shoot in a relaxed setting because your score isn't solely dependent on your shooting (it does help though) and also to learn different aspects of shooting a 3D course. So, it would be awesome if you guys could attend you will have a great time!!!!
