hadnt shot my 25-06 in a while,,I have thought about getting a 20 taper rail and shooting it at 1000 but I dont like the looks of all that on a Classic rifle,
so I got a set of the Burris offset inserts for the Signature rings, and mounted a 3.5-10 Vari XIII old style scope,,after piddling around with it for 2 hours I have the windage adjustments exactly centered and with a 100 yard zero I have 45 MOA of up adjustments left in the scope..

according to JBM with the 100 NBT at 3375 fps it only takes 28 Minutes to get to 1,000 so I should be good,

heck it will still print 1/2 inch 3 shot groups at 100 yards, even if I couldnt guess within 500 rounds how many times it has been shot
hopefully I will get to try it tomorrow,

My deer rifle is an old rem 700 in 25-06. I swear it has a trigger job based on a comparison to my adjusted encore. Don't know...gave 100 bucks and a no name 270 Mauser action for it and kept my old red field scope. No matter it's a deer killing machine out to 400.

I've read about yours on her a lot big and am interesting to see what it can do. They are a flat shooting non magnum round. I use to run the 100 nbt but shoot a 115 silver tip Winchester load now

it has the 2 ounce Arnold Jewell trigger,,26 inch 2 1/2 Shaw bbl pillar glass bedded and shoots 56 grs IMR 4831 and the 100 NBT..

30 years ago it was a 6x Redfield Wideview and 117 WW PEP factory ammo and I could hit anything anywhere with that gun,
