Ok so what did I catch?

First I thought I had another TARP yellow bass due to the color.
Lots more yellow than the picture shows.
Thinking a hybrid?

Didn't have a scale but it weighed a pound and a half if it weighed an ounce.

Oh and funny part is I caught this on my very first cast.
Fished another hour and a half and never got another bite.
Fished another hour and a half the next day and never had a nibble.

Rather be lucky than good any day !

I had a day like this earlier this year. I caught this fish and had to text my dad and ask what it was. I caught it in the pond behind the house and I had never caught one before. Didn't catch anything else the rest of the afternoon.
