Now hear this...

Now hear this...

It's the "Official" rifle opening weekend forecast. Post up what the weather will be in your area.

Looks like Middle TN will have a front move through Friday into early Saturday. I hope the front moves out before daybreak Saturday morning.

Hunting the Wisconsin gun opening weekend just west of Pound, WI.

Friday night a cold front moves in, near 0 over night. Opening day has a high of 20, low of 7 with NE wind gusts up to 20MPH. Sunday continues cold, slight chance of snow in the afternoon but wind dies to 7MPH.

Cold front Friday night will have temperatures dropping throughout the day with 20mph northwest winds gusting to 30. So I will opt to hunt out of one of my box stands instead of climbing up a tree.

Rain Saturday freezing cold Sunday and Monday. Working all day Saturday anyway so I will be in the woods sun and mon hopefully

I'm hearin highs in the 30s sat/sunday , wind chills in teens-20s

Hoping the walmarts sell out of handwarmers and pepsi throwbacks so the brown-downers stay home and watch Vandy beat the snot outta UT and Oakland ice the cake on Sunday lol

Just one crappy opening weekend could bump the age class and quality of the deer herd in this state immensly. Wishful thinking though- telepoach and centerfire hunters with a muzzleloader tag already have digs in pretty good in quashing that false hope.

Lay off the energy drinks lol

Wow you're just a big ball of sunshine aren't you? Here's a thought - stay in Georgia and you won't have to worry about us dumb Tennesseans screwing up our deer herd.

Looks good starting Saturday to as far as the forecast goes. I just hope it holds up and they don't change it like usual and it be like 50-60 degrees.

This just in...

Rain on Sat opening day, then looking much better thru the week.

MUP

I think the further east you go from Nashville the rain will continue into the first part of opening day. Timing is hard to tell but for Nashville the rain will be Friday into early Saturday morning possibly ending before sunrise.

Saturday could be a dynamite day if the front moves out and it clears up!

i do like the part about vandy beating ut! Hehe

If we get the weather they are forecasting here in East TN next week, I predict the hunting will be the best its been in many years! Based on what im now seeing and where we are rut wise, cold weather next week will make for the absolute best match we have had here in many years!! Cant wait and hope it goes down the way I think its going to!! Some GOOD deer will hit the ground here next week!!!!!

Lewisburg TN

NOAA.gov has 30% showers mainly before noon. Mostly cloudy day with a high of 49 with north wind of 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

Weatherbug just updated rain chances for Lewisburg. Now it's only 20%...hope the front has passed by daylight Saturday.

Dress warm everybody!

Looks like NOAA tweaked the wind speed for Saturday with gusts hitting 25 mph instead of 30. Highs will be 51 and 30% chance of rain before noon.

I've got a dilemma. Haven't been in the woods since ML opening weekend because of wife's surgery. NOAA forecasting 20% chance of rain for Lobelville area Saturday morning with high near 50 and wind 10-15 with gusts 25mph. Weather Underground forecast is 60% chance of rain for Saturday morning with similar winds forecasted. I can't hunt both Saturday and Sunday so I'm considering passing on Saturday and hunting Sunday instead. No rain, much colder, and winds a little lighter (5-15 gusting to 20 per NOAA).

Not sure what to do. Will also determine which of Monday or Tuesday I hunt. Saturday and Monday or Sunday and Tuesday?

This post makes me sad...sure wish I could be home in WI for the opener!!! When it is that cold I sit all day because there will always be someone moving around the woods to warm up. Dress warm and good luck!!!

If I can bow hunt with the temperature at 24 and the wind chill in the mid teens I can rifle hunt with whatever kind of weather we get.
