Has anyone bought an off brand SxS and regretted the purchase? Just seems there are alot more off brand out there just wondering on any good or bad experiences

I have seen several CF MOTO for sale recently. Also, the Badboy is a rebadged HI SUN. I am just not sold on an off brand and will stick with a Polaris, Can am, etc. I've heard stories on both sides in the off brands. Some love them and other have trouble getting parts. There is not enough of a price difference for me to try one yet.

Bought a brand new Chinese 125 atv for the kids for Christmas probably 10 years ago, mistake. Within a year, replaced carb, battery, switches, plug, and the thing still wasn't right. Runs ok when it first starts then loses power and dies. Think it's an issue in the electrical system. Kids had fun with it for a little while at least, but now it sits in the shed blocked up so the cheap flat tires don't crack.

Of course unless you buy new, you could still have problems with any of them.

I can't recall the brand Lowes sells. A close friend of mine got one for his parents to use on their farm.

They had to have 2 motors rebuilt, both were under warranty. They sold it soon after the second one was done.

I have heard of people waiting up to 6 months on parts issues with the Chinese knockoffs.

Don't buy anything offbrand, lawnmower, tractor, motorcycle ,side-by-side, boat motor, shotgun …it doesn't matter… I ran a machine shop for 30 years, I could not tell you how many times people come in wanting me to make some part to fit their offbrand whatever.. because when it broke, there were no replacement parts. Nobody could find anything to fix it with and they wanted me to try to make it. usually the whatever.. ended up in a scrap pile out behind the garage.. whatever you buy make sure you have support..

Honda man here. 2002 Honda Rubicon still runs strong. Bought a lightly used '17 Honda Pioneer 700 couple years ago. So far so good.

I bought an X pro 125c atv for my grandson around a year ago. The only problem I had was I lost the keys about a month after I bought it. I texted Xpro and asked if I could get new keys. They sent me a new switch kit at no charge

I bought a Chuckwagon SxS from Rural King several years ago, maybe around 2012. I believe these units were made in Louisiana. It was cheap. I haven't really taken good care of it. However, it starts and carries a 60 gallon sprayer around the food plots every year ;o)

It is not a recreational SxS, but works like an ill tempered mule.

Only thing I will buy off brand is tater chips. Those Food City plain wrap ain't bad.

I heard a lot of horror stories from friends on the Chinesium SxSs. I went with a Ranger and don't regret it

Brother-in-law just picked up a CF Moto Uforce U10 Pro Highland and likes it so far, had a Polaris 4 door General and a Ranger XP before it. He's only had it a couple months so don't know about longevity but sure seemed like a nice rig when I rode in it.

I purchased an Axis from Lowes via a grant for my job doing field work. We don't abuse it. Mostly on dirt and logging roads. Two years in and it fires up and goes where we want.
It does not have the quality of a name brand side by side though.

You gotta think where you're going to get support. Especially parts.

The ones at bass pro and tractor supply were awful expensive for something I've never heard of. They don't sell parts or service. I bought a low hour Kawasaki mule sx xc for less and can get parts easily.

Bought a Honda pioneer 500 new in 2018 zero issues still use it often.
Wanted cab with ac so I got a can am hd10 limited. Found the kei trucks thereafter. 1998 suzuki carry 4x4 with ac does everything I need . Only upgrade would be a 1999 or 2k model as the front wheels are moved forward and allow for better angle of approach going thru ditches.
The one we got is street legal registration just like a regular car . Believe the total cost including tag and tax was 9k. So that's 3 of these for the can am cost and closer to 4 at today's value.

The CF Moto models come with a 5 year warranty from what I understand.
They also can be purchased whole, for a very good price compared to others that want another $500-$1000 for everything you add. Important items, like windshields, doors, hvac, and others.

A friend of mine got one recently, it's even got power doors and locks.

BIL bought one of the ones Tractor Supply sells. Could be a lemon but he has had a lot of issues. Tractor Supply manager told him he had to deal with the manufacturer. I would recommend not buying a s x s or gold cart from anyone who cannot service them.

I had never heard of them before this thread so went and looked, 1 year warranty is what I see and I can buy a Honda cheaper probably.

Honda, Kawasaki, Polaris. Won't buy the off brand junk. Of course Honda and Kaw are over 20 yo. Polaris is still a teenager 19. Run great.

Have had several Polaris 4 wheelers since 1995. Don't really consider anything else. Now have a Polaris Ranger and wouldn't consider anything else, although I did look at some off brands before buying it from an individual.

I have a 90's model John Deere Gator that is the best sxs that i have ever heard of because it doesn't need other than fuel. I have changed the closed system oil once. I have replaced the rear tires and put tubes in the original front ones. 1 owner, 1600 hrs, very light repairs. Best working sxs i've used.

I have a Ranger, its newer and like it. It is a fun and plush ride.

I have a 2017 Honda ATV and it has lived up to the dependable and durable name so far. It is my favorite ride. It gets fully sent on a regular basis.

I wouldn't be afraid at all to buy a CFMOTO sxs. I had all but paid for one 2 years ago until I went and drove it. The only thing that kept me from buying it is because they're super loud and are jerky. I drove the Polaris, CFMOTO, and Kawasaki and decided on the Polaris 1000 Premium. Out of all 3 it was the quietest. We just bought 3 CFMOTO 600's for work and so far, so good. Did test drive the Polaris Ranger 500 they just came back out with and I wasn't impressed with it. The salesman told me that he couldn't believe he was saying it but said that out of the 2 we were looking at that he's had more of the Ranger 500's back in the shop.
